Jim Swim
Artist/producer Jim Swim blends alternative hip-hop, indie soul, and bedroom pop to craft warm and wavy songs that move head and heart. Swim's songs unwind like good conversation, moving from the everyday to the abstract, the personal to the universal, with honest ease. His original production, versatile flow, and lyrical insight have earned a loyal underground following that continues to grow.
Sun Centauri
Sun Centauri is a future pop/R&B collaboration featuring wavy production from Jim Swim and soaring vocals from Alyx Rush. Whether writing summer bops or midnight laments, the duo prioritizes emotion through experimental sound design, harmony stacks, and live instrumentation. With two standout EPs already released under their individual names (Fruit to the Knife and After the Last Time), their first official Sun Centauri single, “Two Shots,” will dropped August 2nd ahead of a fall EP release.
Having already performed at Capital City Pridefest, Iowa City Block Party, and a sold-out opening slot at Toni Romiti’s show at Gabe’s, Sun Centauri has built considerable momentum with their live shows. They will carry the good energy into upcoming slots at Cedar Valley Pridefest and the Alternating Currents Festival in the Quad Cities.
